About Our Newsletter
Moorsholm Memorial Hall was built in the 1950s as a War Memorial to the 10 men of the village who died in the two World Wars. After half a century of serving the community well, it is now showing its age.
After a survey of the villagers, it was decided to try to raise the money to renew the Hall completely, with a modern, ‘green’, sustainable building on the same site. This is a major undertaking for such a small community, but support has been enthusiastic, and many thousands of pounds have been raised in just a few months. Plans for the possible new building have been drawn up, and Planning Permission has been granted. Now the Committee are working through the shifting minefield that is the grant funding process.
To keep everyone up to date with the latest developments and fund-raising events, frequent Newsletters are being produced, printed and distributed around the village. You can view them, from the latest back to the earliest, but following these links.
[Please note that they appear as though they are a pre-folded booklet, so the pages are not necessarily in reading order.]
